Parent Teacher Association
The Parent Teacher Association has the explicit goals of enriching the experience of all students.
NYC Department of Education mandates that each school have a Parent Teacher Association. All parents, step-parents, legally appointed guardians, foster parents and persons in parental relation are automatically members of their school’s PTA.
PTA General Meetings, usually held on the third Wednesday of every month, are a great way to stay abreast of important PS 11 news including PTA events, DOE initiatives and school-wide programs. Parents are encouraged to get involved. The Parent Teacher Association has the explicit goals of enriching the experience of all students. If you are interested in reaching out, please leave us a note in the PTA Executive Board Mailbox in PS 11’s Main Office, or email us at pta@ps11bk.org.

RAISE 11: PS11’s biggest auction fundraiser is Raise 11, a night of food, drinks and fun bidding on curated items donated by local and bespoke businesses as well as large national retailers and corporations. Volunteers can help procure donations, manage the venue and programs, work with catering or entertainment, and managing the live and silent auctions.
Academic + Cultural Enrichment

Garden: PS11 has a robust garden science program and we need families to help tend to the garden and with fundraising and physical work towards capital improvements.
5th Grade: Assist the administration with organizing trips and activities for the 5th grade, including the DC overnight trip, the college tour trip and the senior 'Friendship Dance.'
Scholars Reception: Organizes the annual reception for PS 11 students who achieve a score of 3 or better on both the state ELA and math exams.
